DETSC is one of the ODVA assigned Independent test labs around the world. The DeviceNet Composite Test Suite is a complete test for the DeviceNet devices. The current test version is 17, which includes:

Protocol Conformance Test Version A16.
Physical Layer Test Version B3.
Interoperability Test Version C5.

 

Devices passing these three tests will be issued a certificate by the DETSC, and entitled for a logo of certification on the corresponding product, as seen below.

A high-resolution logo can be obtained from ODVA, request to Patti Donohue.

Fees

ODVA Independent Test 1,785.00 for the first 6 hours 3,575.00 for the first 6 hours
Additional hours 285.00 per hour 570.00 per hour

Note that the initial 6-hour test is charged at a discounted rate. After that, an hourly charge is applied.

Note also that the complete test does not necessarily finish in the first 6-hour, depending on the complexity of the device and the test status.

Protocol  Conformance Test

The Protocol Conformance Testing verifies that the Application Layer adheres to the DeviceNet Specification. Please navigate to see more details.

Physical Layer Test

The Physical Layer Test ensures a device's physical layer, power requirement, LED, etc. are compliant with the DeviceNet Specification. Please navigate to see more details.

Interoperability Test
