Biography Elizabeth Hare married Woolley Leigh and moved to Addington in Surrey in 1639. She had at least one child with Leigh; a daughter, Jane. Woolley Leigh had died by 1649 and Hare returned to her parents in Norfolk. In 1651, she married Sir John Lowther of Lowther, first baronet, and took up residence in Ackworth Park, Westmorland.
