Kampta Karran joined the Centre in October 2002
as a Warwick Postgraduate Research Fellow. His research interest
is in conflict resolution and peace building in postcolonial societies.
Prior to coming to Warwick he lectured at the University of Birmingham
(1999-2002) and he was the Programme Leader of the Race and Ethnic
Studies BA Degree. In Guyana, his home country, he was a member
of academic staff at the University, served as Personal Assistant
to the Prime Minister and also as the Executive Secretary of the
Race Relations Committee.
