Work Related Learning

CEI is regarded as one of the leading research centres in the field of education-business collaboration and work-related learning, both nationally and internationally. The focus of its work is on the relationship between education and the world of work, both in the compulsory and post-compulsory phases of education. To this end our research and evaluation work is informed by current practice in schools, colleges and workplaces. In addition to a wide range of research and evaluation projects currently in progress (see research page), we develop curriculum resources to support the delivery of work-related learning in schools and colleges. We are always anxious to work with partners across the field of work-related learning to take this work forward, to enhance understanding of pedagogy and practice, and to improve practice.
