Also included: six agendas for National Council meetings, official results for 1949 Competitions, Income and Expenditure details for the year ended 30th September 1949, a balance as at the end of 31st March 1949, a report on suggested systems for handicapping from the National Competitions Secretary and related papers, a handwritten document (possibly an agreement) and a list of District Council delegates to the National Council Meeting of 9 January 1949.

In addition to this: a press notice from the Department of the Environment concerning new appointments to the Sports Council, a report on the meeting of representatives of Sport in the Eastern Region, details of Kent Road Club's dismissal from the RTTC, correspondence to cycle coaches, a report of a meeting between representatives of governing bodies with officials from the Sports Council, a discussion paper about payments to amateurs for loss of earnings and Appeal Committee reports.

Pamphlet contains the names of the Council District representatives present at the meeting and the names of the National Officers. Items discussed include the report of the National Committee, accidents, cycling helmets, course restrictions, entry forms, doping control, use of the internet by the Road Time Trials Council to display results and the election of officers.

Correspondence relating to a legal issue involving comments made by the Road Time Trials Council regarding "massed start racing" which brought complaints from the British League of Racing Cyclists. There are two letters relating to costs incurred by the Road Time Trials Council (RTTC) from the firm of Waterhouse & Co. Solicitors (dated 11 February 1952) and a third regarding requests from the firm. There is also a personal letter regarding the publication of an apology to be made by the RTTC to the British League of Racing Cyclists and copies of the apology itself. Other letters concern drafts of and amendments to the apology - two from the National Committee. An important letter contains legal advice over the apology from Waterhouse & Co. There is also the initial correspondence by the Honarary Secretary of the RTTC addressed to solicitors relating to how best to respond to action threatened by the British League of Racing Cyclists.

Correspondence relating to the setting up of a new district council - the South-East Midlands District Council - and the minutes of the inaugural meeting of the New District Council on 16 March 1952.

The booklet contains information as to how a cyclist should go about preparing himself or herself for races. It deals with the different types of training required by the team time trial rider and the beginner and the different forms of individual training such as weight and circuit training and running. Details are also given about a cyclist's diet, vitamin intake and proscribed substances. Equipment for the younger cyclist is also considered.
