Administrative/Biographical History

Tony Hadland is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a former Corporate Member of the Institute of Information Scientists. He has worked in London, Reading and Coventry as building surveyor, architectural team leader, technical writer, technical information officer and information security manager. In the early 1970s he was a freelance disc jockey and has been a co-presenter of a special all-British edition of the Belgian rock show Slalom. His interest in bicycles dated from his childhood: he bought his first Moulton in 1964. In 1980, he produced "The Moulton Bicycle" and began his career as an author. He has written and edited many technical manuals, written articles for cycling magazines, and has produced several books including those on the Moulton bicycle and on "The Sturmey Archer Story".
