Administrative/Biographical History

UNISON was formed on 1 July 1993 by the amalgamation of the National and Local Government Officers' Association, the National Union of Public Employees and the Confederation of Health Service Employees.

Scope and Content

The archive includes UNISON NEC papers, 1995-1999; UNISON Senior Management Team minutes, 1993-2000; UNISON Standing Orders Committee 2001; Branch Secretaries' circulars and Information Bulletins, 2000-2001.

In addition to UNISON material the archive includes 9 boxes of NALGO conference papers and some NUPE files on rules, finance and individual union divisions.
